Issue 17
ULTRA is the longest-running printed magazine in Europe dedicated to the sport of ultrarunning. Established in 2015, it has served the UK’s ultra community ever since, and ships worldwide.
In Issue 17 veteran outdoor gear designer Mike Parsons (Karrimor, OMM - he designed the Kamleika jacket!) talks about the unusual subject of layering gloves and materials to keep hands and feet dry and warm for those long days and nights in the great outdoors.
Record-breaking mountain runner and coach Paul Tierney writes about the mind - how to train your mind to help you run ultras, rather than hinder you as it often does. Well, mine does anyway.
For inspiration, we have the story of a lady who ran five long desert races in a year, a Brit running the Tarawera Ultramarathon in New Zealand, the gruelling story of battling mental demons to finish one of the UK’s hardest 100-milers, and the prostate cancer sufferer who was told not to run, so instead hiked from London to Tipperary and raised a ton of money for charity.
Created, printed and bound in the UK, and yours for less than £12 + P&P. We think it’s the best ultrarunning magazine in the world. Why not find out for yourself?
